In January 2021, the global majority outlawed nuclear weapons across much of the world through the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). Shamefully, the British government refused to sign it.
Yet 77% of the UK public supports a total ban on nuclear weapons. Local communities, from council leaders to mayors, MPs and faith leaders, are standing up, pressuring the Government to listen.
London Region CND is part of this movement to make London a Nuclear Ban Community alongside other capital cities including Paris and Washington DC.
